B-GOOD launches a collection in Research Ideas and Outcomes (RIO)

In an effort to increase the project’s visibility and improve the dissemination of all publicly available project outputs, B-GOOD has recently launched an open research collection in the Research Ideas and Outcomes (RIO) journal.

The B-GOOD Project Outcomes collection in RIO aims to broaden the outreach of project results by publishing not only standard scientific articles, but also other pieces, covering the entire research cycle in a comprehensive manner. The collection  will host a wide range of project outputs, including reports, protocols, methodologies, research papers and more, and it will also link publications in other journals. This collection thus allows the centralisation of project outputs and assuring their availability throughout and beyond the project's lifetime. The first published document is the abridged version of the B-GOOD Grant Agreement, which will set the scene of the collection by providing an overview of B-GOOD's excellence, objectives and pathways to achieve them.

The RIO journal aims to catalyse the culture change in research communication by publishing ideas, proposals and various other outcomes from the research cycle in a comprehensive and timely manner. The journal is committed to an entirely open and public peer-review process. By doing so, RIO has become an instrument for increasing transparency and trustworthiness in research ecosystems, and in that way making the research process more efficient.

RIO also aims to create and strengthen the links across scientific disciplines by placing special emphasis on how research addresses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other challenges that our global society is facing.
