B-GOOD project presented at the 19th COLOSS Conference
The 19th COLOSS Conference 2023 took place on 3-4 October 2023 in Bled, Slovenia. Besides the Annual General Assembly Meeting, the event featured Core Project & Task Force State-of-the-Art and Update presentations, concurrent discussions on various topics and a poster session. All participants who were unable to attend in person were distributed Zoom links to take part virtually.

B-GOOD demonstrated a strong presence at this year’s COLOSS conference with several project partners attending the event and contributing to B-GOOD’s representation. The project’s main results and achievements were outlined by the coordinator Prof Dirk de Graaf (UGENT). B-GOOD presented the following posters:
Giurgiu Alexandru Ioan, Moise Adela Ramona and Dezmirean Severus Daniel presented B-GOOD's partner University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, Romania (UASVM Cluj) and the main activities performed there with a poster:

Regis Lefebre (Ghent University) prepared a poster on European SNP distribution and gave a short summary of the study and the result:

Marten Schoonman gave a short overview of the BEEP foundation and presented the BEEP Platform and how it’s being used in B-GOOD with his poster:

Sumit Bajare’s (Trent University) poster Quantitating the local honeybee hive frame load using vibrational modes gave an overview of their research and presented the results and conclusion:

In addition to the posters presented, Xiaodong Duan (AU) discussed the data-driven honey bee colony health status prediction using machine learning methods, which focused on the machine learning models developed in the project.
Marc O. Schäfer (Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut) and Severine Matthijs (Sciensano) also contributed to the Bee Health session on day 5, with the topic of potential risk factors for honey bee health in Europe - you can read more here.
